The Hearts Behind Our Work

It takes a village…

You may have noticed that throughout this website, I use the word "we" when describing MCPS. While I may be one person, I didn’t get here alone. Every step of this journey has been shaped by the people and beings who walked beside me—my community, ancestors, best friends, Cohort 2, mentors, colleagues, interns, and, of course, the furry companions who have taught me so much about love, loss, and connection. Their wisdom, care, and encouragement live in the work I do every day.

MCPS may reflect my initials, but this organization is rooted in something much bigger than me. It is part of a collective—of shared values, healing, and purpose. That’s why I say "we"—because this work is, and always has been, a collaboration of many hearts.
